Re: 720p50 Sequence Setting missing

I've shot some footage in DVCPRO HD 720p50 (PAL land) on my new Panasonic HPX170.

I've set my sequence to 720p50 but my clips are coming with red render bar above!?

Checked the clip properties and it says DVCPRO HD 720p50 and (here might be the catch) and Video Rate - 50 fps.
In my Sequence Settings says DVCPRO HD 720p50 but!? Editing Timebase: 25

Please note, I'm running FCP 5.1.4 and I remember that I couldn't even import 720p into my FCP 5.0.4 - so I got those DVDs
when we upgraded for Intel Macs and upgraded to 5.1.4 on my new MBP.

My first question is; can I proceed this time, render and complete a job?

Second question is how I'm going to set my sequence setting to avoid this, or just choose other format. I didn't shoot 720p25
just because I couldn't find 720p25 setting for my sequence (I only got options for 720p50, 720p60, 1080i50 and 1080i60).

Do I have to upgrade to get all formats / codecs, or I'm missing something here?

Hi Rista,

Close your project or sequence. Open Easy Setup and choose DVCPRO HD 720P 50. Then open a new sequence or project.

Well, thanks Ken, but I don't know what to say,
I'm completely puzzled by all this, see attached.

There is no option for 720p50 in my Easy SetUp,
but somehow my Sequence Settings (Picture 2) show "Compressor: DVCPOR HD 720p50 (same like my clips),
but again, have a look at Editing Timebase, it's 25. I tried to change it in Advanced pop up menu where there is an option of 50 but I can't change it, I'm getting Warning "Can't change it, do it in Editing Timebase", but I don't have 50 fps option in Editing Timebase pop up menu.

I wonder if that option was added after version FCP 5.1.4.

Anyone???????
