Re: FREEZE AND POSTERIZE

Folks,
There was an effect the TV show 'Wild Wild West' used to use to end segments... (showing age here?) and before I start experimenting on how to create it, was wondering if anyone has seen an easy way to go about it.
I'm thinking freeze the end of a soundbite -- and then -- is this possible -- keyframe it in about one second to a 'posterized' version?

steve -- i don't -- but what reminded me of it was a commercial i saw recently.
i cannot remember what the product was, but the effect looks as if it turns the picture into a painting -- or as if it were an illustration in a book.
anyway, thanks for your response... i'll experiment and re-create. shouldn't be that difficult.
